DVD writer having problems in reading dvds?
i just bought a new dvd writer, it reads cd and burns on cd and dvd fine….but its having a hard time reading burned dvds and reading dvd, when i insert a disc that is dvd, it will read for so long…….then ill just w8 for a while and open that dvd..then then a little later on, it will go no response!, and also i have a dvd game, when im trying to install it or should i say when im trying to autoplay it… it will just say can’t run win32 something like that..

First of all, Samsung DVD writers are not so good.
Second thing is it’s quit normal to take a time the DVD would be opened by DVD Writer. You can check and see it for CDs on CD-ROM and CD-Writers. There is a bit longer time for Writers to open media. Because it wants to know whether it is a blank CD/DVD or not. Also if it’s not a blank CD/DVD, is it writable or closed.
About your Game DVD, I think it’s the DVD problem. It maybe burned with high speed and caused to loose some data. (cracked !!???).
So you can check it on other DVD-ROM or DVD-Writer.
